The 2nd International Symposium on Innovations in Solar Desalination and Water Management (ISSD-WM 2026), taking place on July 8–9, 2026 in Tangier, has officially extended its submission deadline to May 31, 2026.

Following numerous requests from the scientific community, this extension offers PhD students, early-career researchers, and experts additional time to submit high-quality, impactful research.
The symposium provides an excellent opportunity to present research in a high-level international forum and engage with leading experts in solar desalination, water management, and sustainability. Accepted papers will be considered for publication in a Special Issue of the journal Energies (MDPI – Q1, SCOPUS indexed), offering high international visibility for selected contributions.
ISSD-WM 2026 also aims to promote cutting-edge research aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while strengthening academic and professional collaboration among researchers, institutions, and industry experts from around the world.
The symposium particularly welcomes contributions related to digital technologies for sustainable water systems, renewable energy-driven desalination, circular water economy and climate resilience, the water-energy-food nexus, sustainable water management strategies, and geo-environmental and geotechnical approaches.
Authors are invited to submit their papers via the CMT platform:
